Wilbur, a vakarcs kismalac ifjonti hebehurgyaságával és őszinte nyitottságával naivnak tűnik az istálló többi lakója számára, ám Charlotte, a pók szívesen fogadja barátjává. Akkor lesznek csak igazán elválaszthatatlan barátok, amikor a többi állat elárulja Wilburnek, hogy a napjai meg vannak számlálva.
